Mark Anthony Price of Somerville died on Tuesday, October 27, 2026 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers. He was 67.
He was born in Medford on March 11, 1959, the son of Angelina Marie “Dolly” (Ventola) Price and the late John Price. He spent his working life as a construction project manager, a job that rewarded the care and attention to detail that came naturally to him and that gave him, his family says, a real sense of purpose.
Sports filled the rest of his time, whether he was watching, listening, playing or coaching, and he liked to show off whatever new gadget he had found. His children came first. He coached their teams, took them out to breakfast and rarely turned up for a visit without a Dunkin’ order in his hand. He was not a man who put feelings into words; he put them into showing up, reliably and with the occasional grumble, for the people who needed him.
He leaves his wife Cheryl (Chrumka) Price; his mother Dolly; his children Gabrielle Price and Zachary Price; his brothers John “Jack” Price Jr. and his wife Marilyn and Michael Price and his wife Marie; his sister Ann Castucci and her husband Brian; and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family on Saturday, November 7 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main Street, Medford, with a funeral service at the funeral home at 5 p.m. In place of flowers, the family asks that people honor him the way he treated others: bring someone a coffee, or take someone you love out to breakfast.
