David Hussey of Danvers died on October 25, 2026 after a long illness. He was 62 and had been married 38 years to Patricia (Rosa) Hussey.
He was born in Peabody on December 9, 1963, the son of Donald and Mildred (Blatnicki) Hussey, and was raised and educated there before moving to Danvers in 1990. He built a long career as a computer engineer at IBM, EMC, Dell and Bruker, and his family says he never did anything halfway. He volunteered with the Boy Scouts and liked classic cars, car shows and flea markets.
Besides his wife, he leaves his children, Jennifer Hussey of Danvers and Christopher Hussey and his wife Jessica of Danville, N.H.; his grandson, Colton David Hussey; his sister, Judy Montague and her partner Robert of Billerica; his friends Scott and Ellen Dornfeld; and many nieces and nephews. His brother Dennis Hussey died before him.
Visitation is Monday, November 2 from 4 to 6:15 p.m. at C.R. Lyons and Sons, 28 Elm Street, Danvers, with a funeral service there at 6:30. Burial is private. The family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society.
