Milagros Rodriguez of Lynn died peacefully at home on Sunday, October 25, 2026 with her family around her. She was 78.
She was born on January 20, 1948 in the Dominican Republic, one of the eight children of Ramon Peguero and Altagracia Rodriguez. She came to the United States, worked to support her family and spent her career as a home health aide, caring for others as she cared for her own. Her family remembers her warmth, her work and her table.
She leaves her children, Jose Taveras and his wife Myrna, Carlos Taveras and his wife Nieves, Jose Salazar and his wife Maritza, and Esther Salazar; 13 grandchildren, Joselito, Aaliyah, Eleazar, Ismael, Perla, Liah, Delilah, Joseph, Angellise, Daniel, Esther, Aubrey and Ethan; a great-grandchild, Nava; and her siblings, Germania, Ramon, Santana, Joaquin, Arelis, Lourdes and Michelle. Her son Ismael Taveras died before her.
Visiting hours are Friday, October 30 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Solimine Funeral Home, 426 Broadway, Lynn, with a funeral service there at noon and burial at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Lynn.
