Glenn Arthur DeRosa of Lynnfield died on October 1, 2026. He was 68.

He was born in Malden on February 20, 1958 to Arthur and Theresa DeRosa and grew up in Lynnfield with his brothers Alan and John. He attended Lynnfield High School and Salem State University. His family describes a man who took his faith seriously and talked about it readily, was involved with several churches over the years, helped anyone, laughed infectiously, watched the Patriots, cheered his sons through their sports, and greeted most news with his favorite word, “Unbelievable.” Becoming a grandfather was a late joy; one of his granddaughter’s first words was one he taught her.

He leaves his wife, Kathleen DeRosa; his sons, Matt DeRosa and his wife Justina of Reading and Patrick DeRosa and his fiancee Briana of Lynnfield; his granddaughter, Alena DeRosa; his brother, John DeRosa, and John’s fiancee Ilene Hawk of Framingham; his sister-in-law, Anna DeRosa; and many nieces and nephews. His parents, his brother Alan, his nephew Jimmy DeRosa and his friends Bill Winter and Teri Hall died before him.

A funeral Mass is Wednesday, October 14 at noon at St. Maria Goretti Church, 112 Chestnut Street, Lynnfield, with visitation in the church from 10 a.m. Arrangements are by the McDonald Funeral Home, Wakefield. The family suggests donations to the Glenn DeRosa Memorial Fund at St. Adelaide Parish, 712 Lowell Street, Peabody, MA 01960.
